FEEDBACK ON FIFTH CONFERENCE IN KAMPALA, UGANDA

The fifth international AfRES conference was held inKampala,
Uganda, during March. Theconference organiser was Judy Rugasira, Managing Director of Knight Frank Uganda. Eighty delegates from Africa and Europe attended, including representatives of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Institute of Surveyors of Kenya, Instituteof Surveyors of Uganda and Tanzanian Institute of Valuers and Estate Agents. Delegates report a professionally organised and rewarding conference. Our thanks to Judy Rugasira and to Knight Frank for a superb effort. SURVEY ABOUT THE MANAGEMENT OF AfRES

A survey of all AfRES members is currently under way. Its purpose is to obtain nominations and to vote for Board members and office bearers. The survey also seeks suggestions from members on additional needs they may have of AfRES.


ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Our thanks to Petro, our administrative assistant, who has updated all the AfRES records over the past year.Thanks to her hard work, all files and electronic databases are current again. She asks that members who are not receiving e-mail communications should send their e-mail address to her at ghyoovg@unisa.ac.za. Members who do not have membership certificates should inform her.
